Ugo Dighero to perform Dario Fo tribute to Saint Francis

Actor Ugo Dighero has announced a new theatrical production titled ‘Lu santu jullare’, directed by Giorgio Gallione. The play is a tribute to Saint Francis of Assisi through the lens of Dario Fo’s work.

Dighero will utilize the ‘grammelot’ version of the text, incorporating contemporary elements that reference Pope Francis. The production aims to portray the Saint as a radical, human, and unconventional figure, reflecting the storytelling style of the late Nobel laureate Dario Fo.
