UGT worker assaulted in the streets of León

A worker from the UGT union was physically and verbally assaulted in the streets of León, Spain. Video footage released by the union shows the attacker continuing the assault, including pulling the victim's hair, even after the worker had fallen to the ground.

UGT leadership has condemned the incident as a “hate attack” against a worker and the union itself. Pepe Álvarez, the general secretary of UGT, described the assault as intolerable, while Óscar Lobo, the general secretary for Castilla y León, noted that the union has been facing harassment and insults for several months. The organization has announced it will file a formal complaint regarding the incident.
