Uherský Brod invests 59 million CZK in school kitchen reconstruction

The municipality of Uherský Brod has launched an extensive reconstruction of the kitchen and dining facilities at the Na Výsluní primary school. The project, costing 59 million CZK, aims to modernize a facility that has remained largely unchanged since its opening in 1976. The renovation is necessary due to outdated technology and rising energy costs.

During the construction period, which began in August, students will be fed temporarily at the former KD Pub restaurant in the local Culture House. The reconstruction will be comprehensive, involving the replacement of floors, plumbing, electrical systems, ventilation, and the installation of modern gastronomic equipment. The project intends to prioritize healthy, sustainable meals using local ingredients.
