Uijeongbu launches express bus 1108 to Seoul

Uijeongbu Mayor Kim Won-ki conducted an on-site inspection on the first day of operation for the new express bus route 1108. The route is designed to connect the Heungseon area of Uijeongbu to Gwanghwamun in Seoul via Dobongsan Station.

During the inspection, Mayor Kim visited the Humansia Complex 1 stop to listen to commuter feedback and personally rode the bus to Heungseon Plaza to monitor passenger conditions and dispatch efficiency. He was accompanied by city bus policy officials and transportation company representatives to evaluate station facilities and passenger movement.

The new service utilizes eight buses operating 34 times daily, with dispatch intervals ranging from 25 to 40 minutes. The city expects this route to significantly improve accessibility to downtown Seoul for residents in the Heungseon area. Uijeongbu plans to use the feedback gathered during the initial launch to make necessary adjustments and ensure the route stabilizes quickly.
