UIMP sets goals for 2027 Summer Courses to attract youth

Ángel Pelayo, Rector of the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP), has identified youth engagement and increased internationalization as the primary challenges for the institution's 2027 Summer Courses.

Following the conclusion of the current edition in Santander, which hosted nearly 5,000 students and 1,600 speakers, Pelayo highlighted new initiatives designed to reach younger demographics. This includes the 'Los jóvenes hablan: generación global' cycle, which utilizes modern communication media to place young people at the center of academic activity. The Rector also suggested that incorporating more seminars led by younger instructors could further strengthen this connection.

Regarding internationalization, the UIMP has established partnerships with major institutions such as the College of Europe in Bruges, the Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) at Sciences Po, and the Max Planck Institutes to enhance the global reach of its programs.
