UIN Walisongo KKN Students Conduct Community Clean‑up and Financial Literacy Programs in Central Java

Students from the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) program of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Walisongo Semarang carried out two community service initiatives in Central Java. On 31 July 2026, KKN participants from Posko 151 joined residents of Solowire village in Demak for a "Jumat Bersih" clean‑up, clearing roads from the village gate to the border with Sarimulyo and promoting the spirit of gotong‑royong ahead of Indonesia's 81st Independence Day celebrations.

The following day, 30 third‑grade pupils at SD Negeri 1 Jatirunggo in Semarang attended the "Kuy Menabung" financial‑literacy program organized by KKN Posko 17. The students learned basic saving concepts, distinguished needs from wants, and crafted piggy banks from recycled cans, aiming to instill prudent money habits from an early age. Both activities were praised by local leaders, including village head Syirat, KKN coordinator Adrian Maulana, and school principal Sri Rusmiyati, for strengthening community ties and encouraging sustainable practices.
