UIQ launches microbiome-based skin barrier lotion for post-procedure care

UIQ, a microbiome cosmetics brand under Genome & Company, has launched the ‘Biome Barrier Pantensive Lotion’ designed for aftercare following professional dermatological procedures. The new product features a low-viscosity milk formulation intended to provide hydration and barrier repair without the heaviness or oiliness often associated with traditional creams.

The lotion incorporates a high concentration of the brand’s patented microbiome ingredient, ‘Cutibyme™’, alongside ceramide, cholesterol, and fatty acids. Utilizing ‘Se-Col-Ji Elastic Liposome’ technology, the product aims to enhance absorption and skin adhesion. Clinical tests conducted by the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences indicated a 36.86% improvement in skin barrier indicators immediately after use, with a 25.33% improvement maintained after 24 hours.

To support the launch, UIQ is conducting a ‘Skin Barrier Campaign’ featuring genomic bio-expert Professor Park Han-soo from GIST. The company is also offering promotional periods including sample distributions and a 100% refund policy for dissatisfied customers through October 11.
