Uiseong County and Lotte Wellfood celebrate 20 years of Uiseong Garlic Ham

Uiseong County and Lotte Wellfood successfully concluded the ‘Ham-bok Camp’ event at the Binggye Ice Valley Campground to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Uiseong Garlic Ham. The two-day event, held from October 24 to 25, follows a previous pop-up store in Seoul that attracted 3,300 visitors.

The camp saw high demand, with approximately 2,000 teams applying for only 28 spots, resulting in a 70-to-1 competition rate. Participants engaged in various activities, including garlic planting, cooking classes featuring Chef Kim Hoon, and tours of local landmarks such as the Jomunguk Museum and Sanun Ecological Park.

During the opening ceremony, Lotte Wellfood donated 10 million won in scholarships to support local talent development. Uiseong County Mayor Choi Yu-cheol expressed gratitude to Lotte Wellfood and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with corporations to promote regional agricultural products and boost the local economy.
