Uiseong County releases 3,400 native fish into Namdaecheon River
On the 28th, Uiseong County in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, partnered with the Nature Protection Uiseong County Association to release 3,400 native fish into the Namdaecheon River. The release included 1,300 crucian carp, 1,200 loach, and 900 carp, and was accompanied by a river‑clean‑up effort. About 20 participants, including county officials and association members, took part. County mayor Choi Yu‑cheol said the event aims to foster a healthier ecosystem, while association president Seo Young‑pal pledged continued cooperation between citizens and the government for environmental protection.
