Uiseong County to host autumn concert with Italian artists

Uiseong County will host the ‘Autumn Concert with Italy’ on October 19 at the Uiseong Cultural Center. This event serves as a platform for international cultural and artistic exchange between Gyeongsangbuk-do and the Marche Region of Italy, following a friendship agreement signed in June.

The concert will feature approximately 100 performers, including the Coro Shammah choir from Italy’s Marche Region, the Yecheon Opera Company, and various domestic and international vocalists and instrumentalists. The program will be led by general director Yoon Chang-ho and Italian conductor Mauricio Javier Barra.

The repertoire spans opera, classical music, art songs, and popular music, including works by Verdi, Morricone, and Puccini, as well as Korean songs. The Uiseong County Choir will also make a special appearance. The performance is free to the public and is expected to last approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
