UIW honors fallen teammate at Sam Musgrave Twilight cross country meet

The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) held its season-opening cross country meet on Tuesday, renamed the Sam Musgrave UIW Twilight in honor of a former teammate who died in a car accident this summer. The event featured runners from six universities in the San Antonio and San Marcos areas.

In the competition, the UIW men's team took first place, while the women's team placed second. The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) also participated, with their men's team finishing third and the women's team finishing fourth. UTSA junior Andruw Villa secured a second-place finish in the men's 6K event.
