Uiwang City launches 9902 express bus to Pangyo and Bundang
Uiwang City has launched the ‘Gyeonggi Pyeonhagi Bus 9902’, a new express commuter route connecting Naeson-dong to the Pangyo and Bundang areas. The service began on October 8 to address long-standing resident demands for direct transit, reducing the need for multiple transfers via Beomgye Station.
The route travels from Supsok Village through Naeson-dong and the Agricultural and Marine Products Market to Pangyo Station and Seohyeon Station. In October, the service will operate with one bus providing one trip each during morning and evening rush hours. Starting in November, the service is expected to expand to two buses, providing two trips during each peak period.
The 9902 bus operates on a 100% seat reservation system via a dedicated mobile application, allowing passengers to avoid long waits at stops. Fares follow the existing metropolitan integrated transfer discount system. Uiwang Mayor Kim Seong-je noted that this follows the previous launch of the 9901 premium bus, aiming to continuously improve regional transportation convenience.
