UK airlines Ryanair, Jet2, easyJet and TUI set digital boarding‑pass rules
Ryanair has switched to 100% digital boarding passes. Passengers must download the Ryanair app and check in online; those who do not face a €/$55 (or €/$30 for Spanish departures) airport check‑in fee. After check‑in the pass appears in the app, and a free printed copy is provided if the phone is lost or dead. Travelers departing from most Moroccan airports still need a printed pass, though several Moroccan cities now accept the digital version.
Jet2 offers a paper‑less option via its app, allowing up to eight passengers’ boarding passes to be saved on one device. The airline also lets users request a PDF boarding pass by email or download it to a device for display at the gate.
TUI Airways accepts both digital and paper boarding passes. For paper copies, the airline advises using clear A4 paper with an unobstructed barcode.
easyJet encourages use of its mobile app or Apple/Google Wallet for boarding passes, but lists certain airports – mainly in Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia such as Antalya and Izmir – that do not accept mobile passes, requiring passengers to print a boarding pass beforehand.
