UK and Muğla officials discuss tourism and economic cooperation

British Ambassador to Turkey Jennifer Anderson met with local officials in the Muğla province to discuss expanding cooperation between the United Kingdom and the region. In Bodrum, Ambassador Anderson met with Mayor Tamer Mandalinci to focus on enhancing tourism relations and improving the experience and satisfaction of British tourists visiting the area.

In a separate meeting, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras hosted the Ambassador and her diplomatic delegation. The discussions centered on increasing tourism revenue, strengthening economic and cultural ties, and exploring international financing opportunities for local projects, specifically mentioning the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Additional topics included promoting Muğla at international trade fairs like WTM London, fostering partnerships with the British Council in education and culture, and addressing sustainable development and climate issues through initiatives such as the Mediterranean Climate Summit.
