Huawei launches Fintelligent AI solution for banking sector

Huawei has introduced its Fintelligent AI Solution, designed to help financial institutions maintain control over their artificial intelligence architecture and models. Launched at the Global Finance Summit during HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 in Shanghai, the solution aims to address challenges such as duplicating work, inconsistent policy versions, and difficulty tracking costs across departments.

Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, stated that every financial institution should own its AI to keep the choice and evolution of the technology in its own hands. The Fintelligent system utilizes an open hybrid AI architecture featuring three specialized components: an Agent Factory, a Token Factory, and a Data-Knowledge Factory. This structure allows banks to build reusable knowledge and agent assets that can be shared across different internal teams.

According to 2026 research from Cambridge, while 81% of surveyed financial services firms have adopted AI at some level, only 14% consider the technology to be transformational to their organizational strategy or competitive advantage.
