Meteorologists expect the weekend to see the southeast possibly climbing to around 30 °C, while a brief Atlantic system may bring some rain and wind to the north and west.

A later forecast predicts a four‑day spell of intense heat from 24 June to 27 June, with peak temperatures of about 33 °C predicted for West Sussex and surrounding counties. Other areas such as Hampshire, London, Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire are expected to record highs in the low‑30s.
