UK brand values reach record £243.4 billion
The total value of the UK’s top 75 brands has reached a record high of £243.4 billion ($321.2 billion), according to the Kantar BrandZ 2026 ranking. This represents a 30% increase in combined value compared to the previous year.
Financial services remain the primary driver of this growth, accounting for more than one-third of the total ranking value. HSBC remains the most valuable brand in the UK, valued at £30.8 billion. Revolut recorded the fastest growth in the ranking, with its valuation increasing by 92% to reach £10 billion. Other significant financial brands include Vodafone and Shell, as well as Barclays, which holds a position in the top five.
In the retail sector, Tesco has been named the most valuable retail brand in the UK, with its brand value rising 15% to £7.6 billion. While financial services have expanded their influence, the relative contribution of the telecoms and retail sectors has declined over the last five years. Other notable brand increases include Sainsbury’s, British Airways, and Next.
