UK Cabinet Office awards training contracts to KPMG, EY, and Guidehouse

The UK Cabinet Office has awarded significant contracts to professional services firms to support civil service training and modernization initiatives.

KPMG and EY have secured a training contract valued at up to £456 million for the period between 2026 and 2028. KPMG is set to receive the largest portion, approximately £319 million, while EY is allocated up to £137 million. These funds are intended for training British civil servants in various fields, including digital skills and artificial intelligence, as part of the National School of Government and Public Services.

Additionally, the Cabinet Office has signed a £1.7 million contract with Guidehouse Europe to support the ‘Future Civil Service’ programme. This initiative, led by Dame Antonia Romeo, aims to enhance the excellence and technological capabilities of the civil service. The Guidehouse contract includes sub-contractors Korn Ferry, Newton Consulting, and Eden McCallum to assist in delivering specialist services intended to accelerate the adoption of AI within government operations.
