UK Celebrities Auction Charity Items to Fund Gaza Student Scholarships

More than 20 British public figures joined a charity auction organized by the education‑focused nonprofit Phoenix Space. Launched on 27 July, the "Scholarships for Gaza" campaign seeks to raise money for Palestinian students from Gaza who have secured university places but cannot afford tuition, travel or visa costs.

Donations included a signed football shirt from former England captain Gary Lineker and a tie worn by actor Alfie Enoch, among other personal items and experiences. Phoenix Space reports that over 200 Gazan students have received unconditional admission letters worldwide, yet many, like Mohammed Hasanain – a recipient of a World Changers Global Excellence Scholarship at the University of Glasgow – remain unable to begin their studies due to financial shortfalls. Funds raised will go toward covering tuition, travel and related expenses to enable these students to enrol.

The initiative urges the public to bid, donate and share the campaign to maximise support for Gazan scholars.
