UK charity fundraisers complete mountain climbs and skydives
Various UK-based teams have completed physical challenges to raise funds for charitable causes.
A team from Fleet Operations completed the North Wales Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Moel Famau, Dinas Brân, and Snowdon within 12 hours. The effort raised over £1,500 for Shooting Star Cancer Support, specifically to benefit the Shooting Star Unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The fundraiser was organized in support of employee Dawn McGregor Dearie following her breast cancer diagnosis.
Separately, staff from Lovett Care conducted a skydive from 15,000ft to support Destination Florida, a charity that provides holiday experiences for children. The group raised more than £8,500, exceeding their initial £5,000 target. Destination Florida organizes biennial trips to Florida for approximately 75 children from Northern England.
