UK connectivity providers expand fibre network availability
ITS has announced the activation of its ‘Built for Business’ fibre network in nine new locations: Aberdeen, Bath, Bournemouth, Chester, Coventry, Huddersfield, Loughborough, Plymouth, and Swansea. This expansion is part of a larger rollout intended to provide business-grade connectivity, including services such as managed networks, cloud, security, and AI-integrated solutions. Further locations, including Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, and Southampton, are expected to go live by the end of the year.
In York, Fastr Broadband has launched a new consumer fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) package offering symmetric speeds of up to 8Gbps. The service, which promotes average speeds of 7Gbps, is available for £119.99 per month on a 24-month term and includes a Wi-Fi 7 router and unlimited usage.
