UK courts ban two pet owners over severe animal neglect cases

A man in Holywell, Wales, was disqualified from keeping any animals for five years after failing to provide veterinary care for his French Bulldog, Diego, who suffered a fractured foreleg following a fall. RSPCA inspectors found the dog in severe pain and recommended euthanasia as the injury was unlikely to heal without surgery.

In Glasgow, Scotland, owner Luke Larcombe received a ten‑year ban after his dog, Tiko, was euthanised because severely overgrown nails had destroyed the bones in its paws, causing infection and extreme suffering. Scottish SPCA inspectors documented the neglect and the court imposed a Community Payback Order alongside the ban.
