UK courts sentence offenders in Cornwall and Yorkshire
Magistrates' courts in Cornwall handed down a series of sentences, most notably a 20‑year‑old who received a custodial term for creating extreme dog and child‑abuse images. Other offenders received community orders, fines and compensation for assaults, vehicle damage and other offences.
In Yorkshire, 22 defendants appeared before magistrates, including former funeral director Robert Bush, convicted of fraud, and Christopher Wright, found guilty of murdering Richard Dyson. Additional cases involved a teenager who assaulted a care worker, a driver convicted of drink‑driving while banned, and others receiving custodial or community sentences.
