UK craft breweries launch new beers in Co‑op and Waitrose stores
Firebrand Brewing Co of Launceston expanded its retail footprint in Cornwall by placing its Shorebreak Alcohol‑Free Hazy Pale and Diamondback West Coast IPA in 86 Co‑op stores. The non‑alcoholic hazy pale, 0.5% ABV and 32 calories per can, recently won Best Alcohol‑Free Pale Ale at the 2025 World Beer Awards. The West Coast IPA, a 6% ABV brew, moved from a limited‑edition release to a permanent offering in response to customer demand.
Signature Brew introduced a new Czech‑style pale lager called Do It Right, brewed with malted barley sourced from regenerative farms operated by Wildfarmed. Priced at £3 for a 440 ml can and at 5% ABV, the lager is being rolled out nationwide through Waitrose stores, as well as pubs, bars and music venues. The collaboration also involves electronic‑music duo Groove Armada, linking the product to live‑music culture and sustainable agriculture. Both launches reflect growing consumer interest in quality craft beer, low‑alcohol options and environmentally‑focused production.
