UK crypto trader robbed of $800,000 in violent home invasion
A cryptocurrency trader in Solihull, West Midlands, was robbed of approximately $800,000 during a violent home invasion. The attack, which occurred in December 2025, involved three masked men who forced their way into the victim's home and assaulted him with hammers. The intruders also reportedly held a knife to the victim's pregnant wife while demanding access to their digital assets.
During the 45-minute ordeal, the victim was forced to transfer cryptocurrency into wallets controlled by the attackers. In addition to the digital assets, the gang stole luxury items, including Rolex watches. Reports indicate that a fourth individual may have directed the robbery in real time via a video call. The suspects fled the scene in what is believed to be a black BMW X3.
West Midlands Police are investigating the case, but no arrests have been made. Crimestoppers has offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible. The suspects are believed to be men in their twenties, with one described as a Black male with a facial scar.
