UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting meets Zelensky in Kyiv

UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting visited Kyiv for the first time since taking office and held a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The two leaders discussed how Britain and Ukraine can jointly protect civilians from Russia's increasing ballistic missile threat, including possibilities for co‑producing weapons and imposing sanctions on Russian missile manufacturers.

Zelensky thanked the United Kingdom, the King, Prime Minister Andy Burnham and the British people for their continued support. The talks were part of a broader UK effort, following Burnham’s recent meeting with Zelensky at a naval base in Portsmouth, to strengthen defence cooperation amid the ongoing war.
