UK Defra and Global SOFI 2026 Reports Highlight Food Security Trends

The UK Food Security Index, published by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) and based on Defra data, shows a broadly stable picture of domestic food production, rising productivity and a diverse import base. It tracks nine indicators, including global cereal trade, agricultural productivity and bio‑security risk.
