UK developers announce new housing projects in Norfolk and Yorkshire

New housing developments have been proposed in different regions of the United Kingdom. In Hoveton, Norfolk, FW Properties has unveiled plans for a 230-home estate on agricultural land. The project aims to provide new housing, public open spaces, and improved walking and cycling links. Additionally, McCarthy Stone has submitted a separate proposal for 41 units of specialist accommodation for older people on neighboring land.

In West Yorkshire, Breck Homes has exchanged contracts to develop approximately 300 affordable homes at Lees Hall Road in Dewsbury. The land, acquired from the Diocese of Leeds, is part of the Dewsbury Riverside allocation. The proposed scheme will include a mix of apartments and houses ranging from one to four bedrooms, alongside play areas and open spaces. This project is part of the developer's expansion in Yorkshire and aligns with the Church of England’s ‘Coming Home’ report regarding the housing crisis.
