UK drug-related offenses lead to multiple prison sentences

Two separate drug-related criminal cases have resulted in sentencing in the United Kingdom.

Jamie Oldroyd, a former gang leader previously sentenced to over 14 years for a nationwide cocaine conspiracy, appeared in Chester Magistrates’ Court. Oldroyd was sentenced for breaching a serious crime prevention order, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, and failing to provide a breath sample. The offenses occurred in Warrington after police intercepted him driving a Land Rover Defender while under the influence of alcohol.

In a separate incident, Florin Kasmi of Golders Green was sentenced to two years in prison following a drug seizure in Carmarthenshire. Dyfed-Powys Police intercepted Kasmi’s vehicle, discovering approximately 4.5kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of £40,000, along with over £12,700 in cash. Kasmi pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class B drugs and possessing criminal property.
