UK expands EV charging network with new hub in Milton Keynes and thousands of public chargers in Devon

Raw Charging has installed a 32‑charger hub at the Xscape leisure complex in Milton Keynes, comprising 16 rapid and 16 ultra‑rapid units. The site is the largest EV charging installation in the region and forms part of Raw and property owner Landsec’s £24.5 million programme to deliver more than 1,000 new chargers across 28 leading UK retail and leisure destinations.

Separately, Devon County Council and Torbay Council are launching a £30 million scheme to add almost 3,000 publicly accessible EV charging sockets across Devon. The project, funded by an £8 million Department for Transport grant and private partners Believ, char.gy and Wenea, will place chargers on residential streets, public car parks and existing lamp‑post columns, with installations slated to begin within months. The rollout supports council targets to have thousands of additional public chargers in place by 2030 to aid the region’s transition to electric vehicles.
