The Hardy Plant Society (HPS) warned that an unprecedented heat wave is straining gardens across the United Kingdom. Chair Steve Bustin noted that temperatures have surged in July, challenging plant hardiness and prompting gardeners to focus on heat tolerance as well as cold resilience. He urged members to participate in the Seed Distribution Scheme, emphasizing the need to collect and donate seeds for future planting.
