UK Grassroots Women's Football Gains Momentum with New Club Partnership and League Relaunch

Newbury Town and Newbury Women Football Club have announced a joint partnership that will bring the women’s teams under the Newbury Town umbrella from the 2027/28 season. The agreement provides additional coaching support, promotion on the club’s social media channels, player recruitment assistance and access to club resources, aiming to strengthen and grow women’s football in the West Berkshire community.

The North East Wales Women’s Football League has been relaunched for the 2026/27 campaign after a one‑year hiatus. Eight clubs, including Buckley Town, will compete from 6 September, while the accompanying Women’s Recreational League continues with eight teams, offering further playing opportunities across the region.
