UK holiday park survey ranks Waterside Holiday Group top five and Pontins worst

A recent Which? survey ranking the best and worst holiday parks and resorts in the UK has highlighted significant disparities in customer satisfaction across the sector.

Waterside Holiday Group, a family-run operator owned by the Jacobs family, ranked among the top five providers in the country with an 80% score. The group received a five-star rating for food and drink and four stars for cleanliness, customer service, and facilities. Its Tregoad Holiday Park in Cornwall is noted for its diverse accommodation and outdoor activities.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Pontins was named the worst-performing holiday park with a customer score of 61%. The survey noted that the company “appears to be on its last legs.” Its only operational site, the adult-only Sand Bay Holiday Village in Somerset, received two stars across all categories. A spokesperson for Britannia Hotels Group, which operates the site, stated they are disappointed by the ranking and are investing in accommodation improvements.

Potters Resorts achieved the highest overall ranking with an 83% score, praised for its first-class facilities and attentive service.
