Drivers highlighted clean toilets (63%), a wide range of food and drink options, and good parking as the top priorities at service stations, with many stopping once or multiple times during journeys of over 190 miles.

A separate travel report compares Turkey’s coastal city of Bodrum, dubbed “Turkey’s St Tropez,” with the French Riviera. Bodrum offers boutique beach clubs, yacht marinas and all‑inclusive hotels at roughly 43 % lower cost than St Tropez, making it an attractive budget alternative for British holidaymakers.
