UK hospitality businesses receive major award nominations

Several hospitality businesses in the United Kingdom have received nominations for upcoming industry awards.

In Scotland, numerous Edinburgh-based pubs, bars, and restaurants have been named finalists for the 31st annual Scottish Bar & Pub Awards. The finalists include venues such as The Dome, Black Ivy, and Bittersweet Leith, alongside individual professionals competing for titles like HOSPO Manager of the Year and the Deanston Whisky Guru Rising Star Award. The awards ceremony is scheduled for September 1.

In Wales, the family-owned restaurant Y Seler has been nominated for the Best Restaurant in Wales in the 2026 British Restaurant Awards. Unlike traditional judging panels, these nominations are driven by public voting from diners. Y Seler faces competition from other Welsh establishments, including Yr Hen Printworks, The Potted Pig, and The Whitebrook.
