UK incidents: Woman injured in Bracknell fall and M6 vehicle fire
Two separate incidents in the United Kingdom have caused local disruption. In Bracknell, a woman in her seventies sustained serious injuries following an accidental fall at The Lexicon shopping centre. Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service attended the scene, and the woman was transported to a hospital for urgent treatment. A police cordon was established at the site but was expected to be lifted shortly after the medical emergency.
In a separate event, a vehicle fire on the southbound M6 motorway near junction 24 caused significant traffic delays. The fire occurred between junction 24 and junction 23, resulting in the closure of three out of four southbound lanes. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, alongside North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police, worked to secure the area. Traffic was restricted to a single lane, leading to queuing delays in the vicinity of Ashton-in-Makerfield.
