UK International Scout Jamborees Draw Thousands of Young Participants

More than 5,000 scouts and guides from 20 countries are set to attend the Poacher International Jamboree at the Lincolnshire Showground from August 1‑8, 2026. The four‑day event, the largest gathering since 2007, will offer a wide range of activities such as cave pods, bushcraft, clay‑pigeon shooting, aerial circus, fencing, a sky‑diving simulator, drone racing, silent discos, mocktail bars and live music, plus opening and closing ceremonies.

Earlier this year, the Wings International Jamboree was held at Windsor Great Park in Berkshire, welcoming 4,000 scouts and guides from 17 nations. Partnering with The Entertainer, the camp provided free Meccano building sessions, using tens of thousands of pieces to create over 150 models, including miniature cars, motorcycles and structures. Participants highlighted the creativity, problem‑solving and teamwork fostered by the activity.
