UK Level 3 results show record university placements and T Level growth
UK Level 3 results day data shows significant shifts in educational pathways. A record 262,820 UK 18-year-olds have been accepted into university or college, a 3% increase from the previous year. Total applicants accepted reached a record high of 446,690. While 79% of 18-year-olds in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland secured their first choice, placements at insurance choices rose to 13%.
Technical qualifications, specifically T Levels, saw a 65.1% increase in student numbers, rising to 19,665 learners. Despite this growth, T Levels represent only 1.4% of the total 1.36 million Level 3 results published. The pass rate for T Levels improved to 92.6%, with 68.9% of students achieving a Merit or above. Additionally, 97.2% of T Level students successfully completed their required industry placements.
