UK Ministry of Defence seeks £500m facilities management provider for South Atlantic Islands

The UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has issued a preliminary market engagement notice for a major facilities management contract in the South Atlantic Islands.

The contract aims to provide both Hard and Soft Facilities Management and support services to British forces South Atlantic Islands (BFSAI) at MOD sites located in the Falkland Islands and Ascension Island.

The estimated total value of the contract is approximately £500 million (excluding VAT), with a projected duration of seven years starting in April 2030 and extending through 2037, with a possible extension to 2040.
