UK Parliament probes deputy Richard Tice over undeclared interest

The UK Parliament’s standards watchdog opened an investigation on 28 July into Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice for allegedly failing to declare a relevant interest. The probe centres on a complaint from an anti‑Israel lobbying group that Tice did not reference his register of interests at the start of a Westminster Hall debate on UK democracy and Israeli influence.

Tice, a prominent pro‑Israel figure in the party, said the complaint was politically motivated. The inquiry follows earlier parliamentary scrutiny of Reform UK leader Nigel Farage’s receipt of a £5 million donation from crypto‑billionaire Christopher Harborne, which was suspended after Farage resigned his seat. British police are also examining donations of at least £500,000 to Reform UK.

Reform UK has not commented, and the standards commissioner has not disclosed further details, noting that an investigation does not imply a breach of the rules.
