UK Parliament Re‑establishes All‑Party Group on Bermuda

The All‑Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Bermuda has been re‑established in the United Kingdom Parliament. Alicia Kearns MP was confirmed as chair at the inaugural meeting, bringing together 24 parliamentarians from the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

The group, secretariated by the Bermuda London Office, will serve as a standing forum on trade and investment, financial services, constitutional matters and other interests of Bermuda and the overseas territories. Its pause followed the death of Sir David Amess MP, a longtime champion of the group. Premier David Burt said the renewed APPG will help maintain “friends in every corner of Westminster and Whitehall” and strengthen the island’s relationship with the UK. Alicia Kearns added she looks forward to working closely with the Premier and the London Office to deepen understanding of Bermuda’s role and contributions.
