UK parliamentary groups launch inquiry into immigration rules and poverty

The All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPG) on Migration and on Poverty and Inequality have launched a targeted inquiry to assess how recent changes to UK immigration and asylum rules affect poverty levels.

This follow-up investigation seeks new evidence regarding the impact of the Home Office’s recent Immigration White Paper and subsequent reforms. The inquiry aims to refresh previous recommendations by focusing on how these changes influence access to social security, welfare, public services, housing, employment, wages, and community integration.
