UK police conduct raids seizing drugs, weapons, and stolen goods

Police in the United Kingdom have conducted several raids targeting drug supply, weapons, and stolen goods. As part of Hertfordshire Police’s ‘Operation Tornado’—a rolling programme designed to target high-impact crime and anti-social behaviour—officers executed warrants in Stevenage and Letchworth on September 14.

The raids resulted in the arrest of three men, aged 18, 20, and 21, on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons and intending to supply Class A and B controlled drugs. All three suspects have been released on bail as investigations continue.

In a separate operation in Clifton, neighbourhood policing teams and trading standards officers raided two shops on Southchurch Drive. The searches led to the seizure of cash and thousands of pounds worth of suspected stolen goods, including approximately 150 bottles of alcohol. These raids followed months of evidence gathering aimed at tackling shoplifting and community anti-social behaviour.
