UK police hunt drivers after vehicle crashes into homes and shops

West Midlands Police are searching for the driver of a blue car that struck a bungalow on Windward Way in Smiths Wood, Solihull, around midday on 31 July. The driver fled the scene and no injuries were reported. Police have asked the public to contact them with any information.

In Peterborough, 19‑year‑old Mohammed Halani drove an Audi S3 into a building on Westgate after failing to stop for police on Lincoln Road. He narrowly missed pedestrians, fled the scene, and was later arrested in a restaurant. Halani was sentenced to a one‑year prison term suspended for two years, ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, 15 days of rehabilitation, and was disqualified from driving for two years.
