UK police issue dispersal orders to combat anti-social behaviour

Police in the United Kingdom have implemented dispersal orders in Sutton Hill and Gloucester to combat rising anti-social behaviour.

In Telford, West Mercia Police issued a 48-hour dispersal order for the Southgate area of Sutton Hill, effective from the evening of August 26 until August 28. The order provides officers with enhanced powers to exclude individuals likely to cause nuisance, disorder, or distress to the community.

In Gloucester, Gloucestershire Police introduced a dispersal order covering several city centre zones, including Black Dog Way and Llanthony Road, following reports of harassment and intimidation targeting business owners and the public. During recent operations, police arrested a woman for breaching the order, broke up a large fight, and made three arrests for shoplifting.
