UK primary schools receive high marks in recent inspections

The inspection highlighted the school’s success in reducing persistent absenteeism through strong relationships with families. Inspectors described the curriculum as broad and purposeful, though they recommended improvements in independent problem-solving and Welsh oracy skills.

In England, Lostwithiel Primary School received an ‘exceptional’ rating from Ofsted for behavior and attendance, a distinction held by only two percent of schools nationally. The report noted that pupils typically achieve above the national average in reading, writing, and mathematics. Inspectors also praised the school’s ambitious curriculum and its expertise in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
