UK property market sees new data and digital partnerships

The UK property market is seeing new digital initiatives aimed at improving data accessibility and efficiency. HM Land Registry and the Ordnance Survey (OS) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate more closely. This partnership aims to digitize access to information, such as property boundary plans, to reduce delays in buying and selling homes and to support the government’s revised National Planning Policy Framework.

In a separate development, Propertymark Connect has partnered with Propalt to provide estate agents with free basic material information reports upon making referrals through the platform. These reports consolidate various data points, including property characteristics, construction details, energy performance certificates (EPC), planning information, and risk-related data, to assist agents in providing more informed advice to clients.
