UK heatwave fuels sales of discounted garden furniture and sandals

A prolonged heatwave across the United Kingdom has prompted several retailers to slash prices on outdoor products. Yimbly, a Reach PLC‑owned retailer, cut a pair of Bali Sun Loungers from £139 to £89 after applying a 10 % promo code, saving shoppers £50. B&M is offering a solar‑powered metal side table for £20, with limited stock, and a three‑piece garden set for £50. The Range reduced a set of two Bali Sun Loungers from £119 to £96, a 19 % discount.

Footwear sellers have also targeted warm‑weather shoppers. Clarks promoted its Cloudsteppers Brinkley Reyna sandals, originally £35, down to £24 and further to under £9 after TopCashback cashback. Marks & Spencer’s leather ankle‑strap sandals, priced at £23, could be bought for as low as £6.85 with the same cashback offer. All promotions are framed as responses to the current summer heat, aiming to encourage outdoor leisure.

These deals highlight retailers’ strategy to capitalise on increased demand for garden furniture and comfortable summer footwear as the British public seeks ways to stay cool and enjoy extended daylight.
