UK retailers Dunelm and Bon Bons recall products over safety and allergy risks

Dunelm has recalled its "Cosy & Warm" electric blanket cables sold in 2022‑2023 batches because the internal copper wire can fray, creating a fire hazard. Affected items are identified by specific barcodes and article numbers. Customers are advised to stop using the blankets immediately and can claim a free replacement cable or a full refund by contacting Dunelm at 0333 234 0870 or returning the product to a store.

Bon Bons Wholesale Ltd is recalling five chocolate products after the Food Standards Agency found undeclared milk and soy in the items, posing a health risk for people with related allergies. The recalled range includes Medium Coloured Ladybird, Small Red Ladybird, Large Red Heart, Mini Butterflies and Sports Car chocolates. The FSA stated, "Bon Bons Wholesale Ltd is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations." Consumers are instructed not to eat the chocolates and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Both recalls were announced on 25 July 2026 and are being publicised by the UK Food Standards Agency and the Office for Product Safety and Standards.
