UK road collisions injure victims in Staffordshire and Greater Manchester
A serious collision on the A50 near Uttoxeter involved a grey Ford Focus and a black Kawasaki motorbike, leaving the rider in a serious but stable condition. Police, two ambulances and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance responded, and the motorcyclist was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment. Staffordshire Police are seeking witnesses and dash‑cam footage.
A separate three‑vehicle crash on Shaftesbury Avenue in Timperley, Greater Manchester, resulted in one person being taken to hospital with minor injuries. The fire brigade, Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service attended, using specialist equipment to secure the scene and keep the road closed while crews worked for about 35 minutes.
